Cancer and Emergency Medicine: A Unified and Evidence-Based Approach to Emergency Care

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

What acute events bring your patients with cancer to the emergency department (ED)? How do we adequately triage and manage patients with cancer in busy EDs with competing critically ill patients? What models of care can potentially minimize cancer-related emergencies? Discuss the who and why around ED use among patients with cancer, the gaps in cancer care guidelines in the ED, and examples of emerging models of emergency care. You’ll explore the role of the oncology nurse in clinical and translational research to improve the outcomes of patients requiring emergency services.

Please note: Preconference sessions require separate registration.
