Dawn Camp-Sorrell is a family nurse practitioner who has been practicing as a nurse for over 30 years. Currently she is practicing as an oncology nurse practitioner at Children’s of Alabama. During her career, she has practiced as a staff nurse, clinical nurse specialist, consultant, and nurse practitioner. She received her BSN at the University Of Alabama, MSN at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a post-masters FNP at Vanderbilt University. Ms. Camp-Sorrell has published extensively in numerous nursing journals and books including the Oncology Nursing Forum, Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing, and Seminars in Oncology Nursing. Recently she co-edited the third edition of the Clinical Manual for the Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse and currently is co-editor of the Access Device Standards.
